THIS KID WON'T HUNT...

Kids, spouses and grandson came to church with us for Easter services and then home with us to eat lunch.

Last week when Rowan and I were shopping we decided to look at bicycles. He found one he liked and decided that he needed a helmet and knee and elbow pads. It wouldn't fit in the vehicle that we were in so I told him that Sid and I would come for it in the truck and he could have it when he came over for Easter.

This week, he's been telling everyone that the Easter Bunny was bringing him a bicycle. Try fitting that into the Easter basket.

He patiently had his photo taken in church clothes (top photo) and insisted, as usual, that he take our photo (second photo). He also had to have a photo of his and Sid's ties (third photo).

Then he patiently ate lunch and complimented me on having the "World's Finest Mashed Potatoes."

Then it was time to hunt eggs. Nope. He was so excited about having a bicycle that he didn't want to hunt eggs.

His mother and his Uncle Cole ribbed me for getting him a helmet and then said that I apparently neglected them because they never had a helmet.

Then finally...drum roll please...it's time to ride.

Thank you, thank you. I really do need to get him a camera. Maybe that's what he needs for his fifth birthday this fall. I just didn't know grandkids would be so much fun. The second grandchild will arrive right around the Neshoba County Fair time. Cole's wife Amy is due in early August. They find out today if it's a boy or girl.

Haha--and why didn't you get your own kids helmets? Rowan is just too precious! He looks just like Jessi when she was little and if his hair was down to his ankles-ha ha -
